  • Medical Staff

    Anne Arundel Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital that provides acute inpatient and outpatient care to residents of the region, encompassing Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Queen Anne’s, Kent, Talbot and Calvert Counties. The fundamental mission of the medical staff of AAMC is to ensure that optimal care is provided to the patients and the community we serve. The Medical Staff is accountable to the Anne Arundel Health System Board of Trustees to assure it fulfills this important obligation. The medical staff is a self-governing organization. The medical staff by-laws, policies, and procedures provide the expectations and the guidelines for its operation. The medical staff of AAMC has established a framework of elected officers, department chairs, service chiefs and associate chiefs, and a committee structure designed to carry out its functions and duties.

    At Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), a full-time, master’s-degree-prepared medical librarian is on staff and available to provide you with expert assistance whenever you need it.

    AAMC is dedicated to helping physicians, health care leaders and medical staff advance the critical work that you do every day with a comprehensive roster of MedChi-accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.

    Take advantage of our regularly scheduled series for physicians, nursing staff and health care professionals, in addition to department-specific educational lectures and seminars. We also host several annual CME events that bring in health care professionals from across the nation.
